How often do disposable medical curtains need to be replaced?

ØRN Health Antimicrobial Disposable Privacy Curtains are made from 110gsm PP which is extremely durable and hard wearing. However, although ØRN Health recommend changing the curtains every 3-5 months.

As each Hospital has its own IPC protocols and guidelines, we would recommend that each hospital carries out its own assessment as to how long the curtains should remain in situ.

A regular and proactive approach to curtain replacement is recommended, as leaving curtains in place for long periods creates a potential source of harmful bacteria and therefore increases the risk of HAI transfer.
